Teaser Tuesdays: October 5th

teasertuesdays31 Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:

  • Grab your current read
  • Open to a random page
  • Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
  • BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
  • Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

Every day gorgeous accessories hung from her ears and fanned out across her collarbone. Her rings could slice watermelons, and she wore a lot of them, sometimes one on every finger.

I’m only about 50 pages into this book, but I’m enjoying it already. There is quite a cast of characters.

  1. Interesting teaser… Here is a look at my teaser.

  2. sounds like ALOT of jewelery. Wonder why? Thanks for the teaser 🙂

Here’s my TEASER for this week

  3. My library just added this book since glamorous true crime books are always popular and who’s more glamorous than the photogenic ladies on Murderess’ Row?

My teaser, from Terry Pratchett’s I Shall Wear Midnight is @ Stuff & Nonsense.

    • Exactly! I have a weakness for books about crime and Chicago. This happens to fit both categories. So far what I have really enjoyed is the descriptions of the “hacks”. I cannot imagine what it must have been like to be a reporter for the Tribune back then, let alone a female crime reporter.

I’m 57 pages in and really enjoying it.

  4. Ooh, i love the movie chicago! this sounds great!
